Goals, as referred to in previous versions of Google Analytics, are now referred to as Key Events, reflecting the extra capability GA4 has to track events happening within a page (watching a video, downloading a PDF etc.), without adding any extra code. Rather than events being a type of goal, everything that a user does is now an event.
This free course starts by looking at GA4 key events in perspective and understanding why it's important to have them set up. We then look at defining what your key events should be, how we set them up and how we can test them to make sure they're working properly. We then finish off by exploring what they do in GA4 and what insights we can gain once they are set up.

Although there aren't as many reports in the new GA4 as in Universal Analytics, the power of GA4 is in its customisation and being able to understand key terminology is key to being able to understand your GA4 data.
Ciaran's guest today is Charlie Blake Thomas, CEO of EyeQuant, a platform that combines advanced neuroscientific research, artificial intelligence and neural network modeling to simulate how users will react to your design work.
