If you’re not yet aware, Google are launching their latest AI development, Gemini — a multimodal artificial intelligence model that can reason seamlessly across test, images, video, audio and code. It is the first model to outperform human experts on MMLU (Massive Multitask Language Understanding), and surpasses GPT-4 in 7/8 capability benchmarks.
Gemini is not due to be released to the public until January 2024, but its API is now available to developers and Bard is currently powered by Gemini Pro.
Despite numerous reports on Google falling behind in AI compared to others, Google’s Gemini could be the first serious competitor of ChatGPT, which has dominated the AI space since its launch in November 2022.
