OpenAI is testing SearchGPT


 

OpenAI is testing SearchGPT, a prototype of a new AI search feature that gives you fast and timely answers, with clear links to its sources.

Whilst OpenAI’s ChatGPT model is designed for generating and understanding human language, SearchGPT is tailored to assist users in finding relevant information from large datasets across the web.

According to ChatGPT, the key features of SearchGPT might include:

  • Advanced Query Understanding: Enhanced ability to comprehend complex search queries, including natural language questions, keywords, and long-form queries.
  • Contextual Search Results: Providing search results that are highly relevant to the context of the query, often considering previous interactions or the user's intent.
  • Summarization: Summarizing large amounts of text or information to give concise and useful answers.
  • Integration with Databases: Connecting with various databases and information sources to fetch accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Multimodal Capabilities: Potentially incorporating not just text but also images, videos, and other media types in search results.

Google launches Veo


 

You’ve no doubt seen lots of the Open AI Sora videos, but Google has been hard at work developing their own AI video generation model they are about to launch, Veo.

According to Google, Veo has “an advanced understanding of natural language” and can produce high quality 1080p resolution video from text, image and video prompts.

It differs from Sora in a number of ways and is definitely worth checking out to consider how you may be using it in the future.

TikTok announces new partnership with Eventbrite

 

 

TikTok has launched a brand-new partnership with Eventbrite, offering creators a new way to promote their events from within the TikTok app. Creators can add Eventbrite links directly to their TikTok videos, so users don’t have to leave the app to see event details and purchase tickets.

The partnership will help bring more people together, through the power of TikTok and live event experiences, helping even the smallest of events gain great exposure.

Meta is testing AI comment summaries for Facebook

 

 

Just like the recent AI email summaries we have seen, Meta will soon be introducing AI summaries in post comment steams on Facebook, which will summarise the general consensus of the comments.

In a photo shared by @cmcalgary on Threads, which you can see below, you can see an example of the new summaries that being introduced on Meta.

 

 

It also looks like YouTube is following a similar route, as it has been experimenting with automated comment sorting on video uploads, arranging them into different topics so that users can easily filter between them.
