To achieve a full qualification, i.e., a Diploma in Professional Digital Marketing you must pass all three mandatory modules:
The Digital Customer Experience Marketing and Digital Strategy Digital Optimisation
Each includes 100-130 study hours and assessment by an assignment.
Each module can be achieved as a distinct, self-contained award which can be built up to attain the full diploma.

How long do participants have to study for?
On average it takes somebody around 3-6 months to achieve each award, so it is possible to do the full qualification in 12 months. However, as this is a undergraduate degree equivalent level course, the length of time will depend on other time commitments.
What are pre-requisites for the qualification and/or experience level requirements?
One or more of the following is required for participants to gain entry onto this qualification:
- Professional Certificate in Marketing or Certificate in Professional Marketing
- Any relevant Level 4 qualification
- Foundation Degree in Business with Marketing
- Bachelor's or Master's degree from a recognised university, with at least one third of credits coming from marketing content (i.e. 120 credits in Bachelor's degrees or 60 credits in Master's degrees)
- Professional practice (suggested two years marketing in an operational role) plus diagnostic assessment onto Level 6
- If English isn't their first language, they will also need to demonstrate that they have achieved one of the following English language qualifications within the last two years
IELTS Academic Module with an overall score of 6.5 (each component pass mark must be 6.0 or above). Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English grade B or above. The CIM will consider other equivalent alternatives. Contact us if unsure.
